During discussions about the highlighter UI, we talked about a toolbar to contain a search field and a button for activating "inspect mode". After discussions, we decided it was best to move most of the UI for controlling information about the node into the highlighter itself. Having a toolbar for one button and a search box is rather heavy, so I'm looking for other ideas. Kevin mentioned having a close button on the selected node. This could be work if there are no cases where we want to open the highlighter without a selected node but not be in active highlighting mode. Even the search field itself might be unnecessary if we have a global command line. My one issue with overloading controls (buttons, search boxes) in the highlighter is that it will obscure content. One area where the toolbar would be preferred.
