Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; cs; rv:1.9.2.10) Gecko/20100914 Firefox/3.6.10 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; cs; rv:1.9.2.10) Gecko/20100914 Firefox/3.6.10 I am using FF 4 on my home pc and FF never asks for saving opened session. So if I have opened about 10 tabs and FF is e.g. unexpected killed, or just I need to shut down PC, then I ´have to open all tabs again manually. This worked perfectly in FF3.x, but now it does not work. I would suggest to return this feature back (if was removed) or fix it (if it is a bug) Thank you. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open more tabs in FF4 2. Click to close 3. There is displayed only dialog about closing all tabs, not suggestion for saving Actual Results: tabs are always closed without notification Expected Results: notification about saving opened session for using after re-start firefox
Options -> General -> When Firefox Starts: Should restore your previous session by default, the prompt isn't required for that behavior.
The feature has been moved to when you start firefox again. See bug 634523 and bug 628462 for references to what and why.

upss, sorry, I missed it, but in my opinion it is step back, because if it is offered, it is more user friendly to tick on/off dialog then searching in settings especially user does not know where to find it (as in my case). But just my opinion;-)
Huge prompts that break flow aren't a good thing, FF has eliminated as many of them as possible which is proper, the feature is still there and should be the default as far as I know, prompts aren't the feature themselves, just a really bad way to notify you about the feature.
Then probably will not be default, because I've just reinstall FF 3.6 by FF 4 and after that no my session were restored by default. I did not change any settings and sorry, but I think that it is not good solution to change such functionality and does not notify the user, because if I would not to create this bug, I would not to have no idea about such settings, I have no time to check settings in new version because I expect that will be moved from previous versions from the user point of view.
