i tried this on a machine running bone and i cannot get to any web sites
There will be a BONE-only version of mozilla available to BONE beta testers on the next BONE beta cycle. Non-BONE binaries on BONE machines is not a supported option. I'm sure the problems could be resolved, but I only have enough spare time to dedicate towards making a BONEified mozilla rather than fixing problems with the old networking stack. Those with spare time can submit patches as long as it doesn't break networking for those without BONE. Workaround: Switch back to the old networking stack using setnetserver or wait for a BONEified mozilla in the near future.
Oh. If it wasn't clear from above, mozilla currently won't work under BONE even if I were to produce a version that links against the new BONE libraries. I have BONEified mozilla binaries, but due to a small bug in current BONE builds mozilla won't work. The bug is reported to Be, and I expect the next beta release will have the fixes that allow mozilla to run under BONE. So, sit tight until the next beta release. Assuming no other bugs in non- mozilla code we'll have a version of mozilla for BONE. (which will work *better* than mozilla for the old networking stack)
Please change this bug to WONTFIX. There will be a version of mozilla for BeOS that will work on the new networking stack (BONE) available separately.
OK marking WONTFIX based on Matthews comments
