Hard to say without logs. Could you please follow the instructions ("How to help us") in https://philikon.wordpress.com/2010/12/28/bookmark-sync-issues/ and attach the Sync log to this bug? Thanks!

We don't know that yet for sure. The error message is the same, but the underlying cause may be very different. We won't know until we can see the logs.

Reporter, please test again on the latest firefox build or nightly build. We
need your sync log to determine the problem.

Omar: you have a bookmark with a malformed URI in your database, so Sync can't operate. Please file a *new* bug for your issue. Thanks!
