Steven--

Just wanted to check in on this--I know you have a bunch on your plate for Tuesday, and wanted to see if you think you'll have time for this one. If not, LoFo--what do we do?

I talked to Steven earlier this week and this has been on his radar. Unless otherwise noted we should be good to launch these on Tuesday.
Yeah, it'll be a weekend project, but we'll get it done.
These promos are implemented in trunk in r88791 and r88792 in all four places indicated in the Google Doc (that was helpful, thanks).

I had to take some liberty with mixing/matching the copy from Bug 653611 in order to make it work with the headline formatting style (small-italics + large bold caps). Feedback and suggestions on these is welcome.

Please review, comment, and I'll merge to stage on Monday, pending feedback.

OS: Mac OS X → All
Hardware: x86 → All
Thanks Steven--

Overall, it should be "Mark Up" not "MarkUP".

I didn't see anything new in
http://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/4.0/whatsnew/

In
http://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/
https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-4.0.1&os=linux&lang=en-US
http://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/4.0/firstrun/

I see
"Make your mark: MarkUP

Support the world’s largest public resource.
Make your mark »"

It should just be: "Mark Up: Support the world’s largest public resource.
Make your mark »"

Does that make sense?

This page alternates randomly (50/50) between the Markup promo and the "Get up and go" mobile promo. It's random on page load, so you may have to reload a few times to see it.

I'll make the other changes next.
On http://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/ the layout really relies on a two-line headline (one line small/italic, second line large/bold/caps).

Is there some wording we could use for this page that might fit this format?
How about this:

"Make your mark: Mark Up

Support the world's largest public resource

Support the Web >>"
Laura, I've changed the "MarkUP" to "Mark Up" and used your suggested re-wording from comment #11. Updated in trunk in r88832.
copy change per Matej:

"The Web
BELONGS TO YOU

Visit Mark Up and show your support.

Make your mark >>"

And if "belongs to you" looks weird, we can replace it with
 "TO ALL OF US"

Updated copy from Comment #14 in trunk in r88846.

Merged to stage in r88848.

Update here - this campaign has been delayed for what seems like the next 24 hours at least. Do not deploy, but good to have ready to go when we're ready to launch. Stay tuned.
Update--

This campaign looks good to go June 8th. I'd like to push all content live on June 8th in the afternoon. Laura, what milestone should this be under?
Target Milestone: 2.5 → 2.7
Going to re-open this so it stays on our radar, since this hasn't been deployed yet.

Laura M: this will release between milestones, so it's fine to keep it in 2.7 for now.

Steven G: Can this go live next Wednesday, on the 8th?

Yeah, reassigning to James though, since it just has to be moved into production, which he'll need to do.

Maybe Anthony can do this, I'm taking Monday through Wednesday off.

Yep, I'll take that.

Steven, looks like I have to merge r88837 and r88848 from stage. Is there anything else?

Laura Mesa, is it possible to push this in the morning? Otherwise it's late for me if we need to fix something after the push.

Let's push Thursday morning then!

Thanks,

Pushed to production with r90195.

I've done one fix with r90196 and r90197.

Is this the bug to report that the link to "Make your mark »" on firefox 5 starting page is broken? Or should I file a new one?

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/5.0/whatsnew/

(you have to refresh if the box display the firefox mobile ad, I think this banner is random)
fabricio~ thanks for the headsup! We'll get this to the right people quickly.

Looks like that was addressed in Bug 665984. Thanks.
