Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:5.0a2) Gecko/20110422 Thunderbird/3.3a4pre At the present, you can only do quick searches in a single Thunderbird's address book. A lot of people, like me use multiple address books to separate contacts by type. The problem is that if you want to perform a quick search on your list of contacts, you have to guess in which of your address books your contact is stored. This is completely inefficient. More... Like the mailing list behavior that when you select it from the tree view only shows the contacts inside, but if you select your address-book it shows the full list of contacts + the mailing Lists, SHOULD be extended to allow a similar behavior for Multiple Address-books. This way you could select a ROOT folder where all the Mailing Lists and Contacts would show for all the contacts in all your address-books. A Mailing List should also allow contacts from several address-books and not just for the address-book selected. Hope Mozilla upgrades the Address-book or at least that somebody develops an extension for that. The thunderbird address-book can effectively become much better. And if the goal for thunderbird is to replace outlook, you can not just implement similar functionalities; You have to implement much better and revolutionary functionalities. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. I consider it not quite a bug, but a crippled functionality. 2. 3.
