The bug-search REST API only accepts HTTP GET. I need it to accept POST as well, because my list-of-bug-number queries are too long for GET (see bug 652359).

Would supporting bug number ranges help, or is that unlikely?

That wouldn't help. The bug-number lists are compiled from files like http://www.squarefree.com/fuzzing-ignores-2010-11/assertions.txt.

BzAPI is very much in maintenance mode and is being superseded by the BzAPI shim on top of the native Bugzilla REST API, and that native API itself. So this bug is not going to be fixed.

The native API may have the same problem; you would need to enquire and test.

The native REST API also requires GET to perform a bug search. However you can POST a
bug search by using JSONRPC which is still active for now (will be phased out).
You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
