Christian, why not use https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Thunderbird/Autoconfiguration#Configuration_server_at_ISP ?

For when the ISP doesn't do it ;-) but we'd rather have that implemented than the DB, as when change arise it's easier for the uni to make the change.

Christian do you know if they can implement the isp solution?

"They" (that's me and my colleagues) just implemented the ISP solution. I'm sorry that I didn't find the corresponding docs before.

There is already a faulty entry for chemie.uni-hamburg.de in the ISP DB. Could you please delete it?

there is nothing in https://live.mozillamessaging.com/autoconfig/v1.1/ so only ispdb.mozillamessaging.com isn't live yet so no need to worry.
