User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 This has happened every time I've restarted the computer since installing Firefox 4.0. 1. Restart computer 2. Shut down HP Advisor 3. Shut down Windows Live Messenger 4. Click Firefox button in Taskbar 5. Firefox comes up with only 1 new tab showing and busy cursor. 6. Click anywhere in FF and system 'whites' it out and shows 'Not Responding' 7. Start Task Manager and force shutdown of FF 8. Click FF button in Taskbar 9. FF starts up normally with all old tabs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Restart Computer 2. Start Firefox 3. Actual Results: As described in Details. Expected Results: It should have started up with all the old tabs showing and been usable. Can you try starting Firefox in safe mode, running for a bit, then follow your STR (starting Firefox in safe mode again)

I had waited to say anything because I'm aware of Windows's transitory aberrations, and of course immediately I do, it goes away. When I got your email I shut it down again, and again it started up normally. Of course there's the remote possibility that the Windows update fixed something. Sorry for troubling you.
