Just need three 100 character headline (max) for the MarkUP Reddit promo.

The headline will be shown in the tech, politics and art section of reddit.

1) Tech: This headline can be about how modern browsers open the door for creative collaborations between developers and artists.
2) Art: Headline can be something about how the open web gives art and artists new areas for them to create art
3) Politics: can be something about how modern browsers and open source technology can be a platform for community participation, and to make your mark to keep that platform open.

+1 for this one. Not sure if there's room, but would be cool if we could express something about the awesomeness that happens when artists and developers come together. Or maybe that's more for the art section?

I like this one, but we can probably drop the word 'open'.

Not feeling any of these quite yet. It seems to me like the political side of this would be better served by the "the web belongs to all of us" message rather than open source or community talk. Laura, what do you think?

Also, it feels like a miss if we don't mention Firefox or Mozilla anywhere in here (that's a general comment for all 3).

I like this one that best and like the idea of including the word awesome if we can.

Yeah, agreed. Plus, as discussed yesterday, we may be linking the "About Mozilla" video from this headline, so something about the web being a public resource sounds like it could work well.

For reference, we have Fx logo + mark up word mark for our graphics, so maybe it makes more sense to say something that refers to Firefox or "the makers of Firefox"?
Thanks for the feedback. Here are a couple of new options for each. I managed to work Firefox into all but one. Let me know if these are working better.

1) Tech

MarkUP uses the latest Web technologies to connect artists and developers. Awesomeness ensues.

2) Art

MarkUP from Firefox turns the Web into a new canvas for art and artists. Experience it for yourself.

I like these 3 the best?

the best. John, are you ok with those 3?
Those look great. Adding the word "awesomeness" is always a recipe for success.
Going to resolve this since we have what we need--thanks Matej!

Oops--one more question:

John, with that last copy for the politics section, would you feel comfortable having the "about mozilla" video attached to the headline?
Or would that feel too forced?
If you think we need a video here, that one is a valid option, although it wasn't really created with situations like this in mind.

The Foundation also created a video lately about who we are that has a bunch of interviews and other footage in it. I don't have the link, but it's also a possibility.

I guess the problem with either is that they're both about us rather than the notion of the web belonging to us all that's captured in the copy. Of course that sentiment is in there, but neither video completely works with the copy.

So, would you rather not include a video, or would you rather try the video and see what happens?

Sorry, that was a little ambiguous. I'm leaning against using the video here unless you really think it's important.
