This is a tracking bug for writing newcomer-specific documentation, intended to guide newcomers until they are fully in the fold.
So far, we have https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Introduction, and https://wiki.mozilla.org/JavaScript:New_to_SpiderMonkey. There are also old docs which were pretty good (tiny bit stale): http://www-archive.mozilla.org/developer/ and http://www-archive.mozilla.org/hacking/.

A major focus should be on working with the main development docs, merging things where useful, and especially in deleting old misinformation.

When this new introductory documentation is in place, I'd like to redirect the old Developers page on mozilla.org to the new page.

http://www.mozilla.org/developer/

Do you think that the new Introduction page, or any other page, is complete enough to redirect that legacy "For Developers" page to yet?

One thing I see that is missing from the Introduction page that seems to still get used on the For Developers page are the links to the various nightly builds. Moving that to the wiki would also make it easier for people to maintain.
I don't really know. That's the problem with our documentation at the moment - there's so much of it, and it's hard to tell what's important. Is that testing thing important; do many new testers use it, or do they come via another means? MXR, amazon links? Clearly someone felt it was important at some time, now I don't know.
