We want visitors to Mozilla.com to know about, visit, and enjoy the wonders of the MarkUp campaign. Let's let our site visitors know about this campaign through a little cross-promotion.

Please create copy for the following graphics:
1. Middle module on "what's New" page
2. Small lower promo on "First Run" page
3. New promo on left side of download page

This will make it a lot more clear: https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/15dlcwqcDID-nwiD3x030-3KvmQTGQ090TcloZqg9B5Q/edit?hl=en&authkey=CJKwlLkG

Cc-ing project owner here to provide copy direction.

Dates: Would be great to have by 5/5 so webdev has enough time to implement by 5/10 program launch.
For reference, our Snippet for MarkUP says this:

"The Web belongs to all of us. Make your mark and show your support for the
world's largest public resource."

The copy for these promotional spots on the site should follow this tone.
Depending on space, I'd suggest one of the following:

VER. 1

[HEADLINE]
MarkUP

[COPY]
Show your support for the world's largest public resource.

[CTA]
Make your mark

VER. 2

[HEADLINE]
MarkUP

[COPY]
The Web belongs to all of us. Show your support for the world's largest public resource.

[CTA]
Make your mark

If we wanted or needed more words in the headline, we could swap "MarkUP" and "Make your mark."

For places where we don't have the space (like the First Run page), I think we should just go with: Make Your Mark (though we could also just say MarkUP if we wanted the name to appear — I just think Mark Your Mark is a more compelling CTA)

Thoughts?

I like all three--so depending on space, we can use any of the 3 of them.
Depends on: 653612
LoFo--what are next steps? I saw we have all the copy and design needs, but I don't see an implementation bug....do you want to to make one?
This amazing copy will launch w/Bug 652199.
