The Spark campaign ends 5/31. Let's be sure we put out the fire on Mozilla.com.
Note to myself to also remove these from the snippet service the Friday before 5/31 (so there's enough time to propagate through system).
Depends on: 634683
The copy can be found in Bug 634683.
Target Milestone: 2.7 → 2.6

Copy is now done. Steven - feel free to get started.

Summary: [Spark] Tracking bug to extinguish all Spark promos on Mozilla.com → [Spark] Implementation bug to extinguish all Spark promos on Mozilla.com
Laura, Bug 634683 addresses what to put in place of the Spark promo on the download page, but the following pages will also need something to replace the spark promo:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/m/
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/4.0/firstrun/
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/getinvolved/

For the firstrun page, we could probably drop the Spark button and widen the Twitter Party promo ("Join the Firefox 4 Twitter Party"). On the /m/ page, we can probably just drop it.

The /firefox/fx/, /mobile/, and /mobile/getinvolved/ pages will need something to replace it, or some design tweaks to work without them.
Laura, can you address comment #4?

This should do it - sorry, looks like I forgot to include the link in the initial comment:

Hi Steven - How's this going? Spark campaign is officially over now - is this possible to have deployed today or tomorrow?

This is ready for QA on stage now. We've only had the full details for implementation since last night, so we turned it around as quickly as we could.

Done in trunk in r89722 and r89726 .

Merged to stage in r89729.

Has this been deployed? I'm still seeing a mention of Spark on the bottom promo on the /new page.

Not yet - needs QA.
Looks like the mozilla.com/m page was left out of my previous commit. Fixed in r89785. Merged to stage in r89786.

James, that leaves two commits to merge into production: r89729 and r89786.
I still see mentions of Spark on the /new page (bottom promo trio) and on the /mobile page (within the burst & in outer promo trio). I also spot this on /m so I'm guessing this stuff hasn't been deployed yet. Sad face. Reopening.

Rik - Please push with 2.7 today.

Looks like those code changes conflict with the markup changes. Is it ok to push this one on thursday with markup?
At this point that's fine, but in general this campaign ended 7 days ago and we've been wasting precious clicks by keeping this content up. Wasted clicks make cute baby Firefox's cry.

In the future I'd like to see content go down the day a campaign ends.

Anthony, you can push the /m/ page change live - it should be a simple remove without any conflict. Better some than none.

This was ready the day after the campaign ended (June 1). It would have been ready the day of, but there was some additional copy needed. It was through QA on the 3rd.

Since we missed the window for the 2.6 release, we ended up with a week delay. Perhaps we could use a better means of communicating that a bug should get pulled out of the normal release cycle.

Pushed to production with r90199.
