Details
LESS (http://lesscss.org/) is being used by the web UI right now to allow for the OS-specific themes. Ideally the LESS parsing would be done as part of a build command for further optimization, or remove the work of LESS to avoid that extra work.

may not be necessary if we can benefit from firefox builtin css

this already caused a failure since lesscss doesn't like "!important" on linux. lets figure this out, possibly return to a build system that produces static css rather than using less at runtime.
