Objective: Please update mozilla.com home page to the winning version in our most recent A/B testing.

All simple changes, no new graphics required:

*https://intranet.mozilla.org/images/7/7c/Var.png
*add features link: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/features/
*add legal notices link: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/about/legal.html
(you may put privacy & legal notices on a single line, which may reduce white space by coincidence)
*reduce white space where possible






You also need the Legal Notices link. The other stuff is optional on that page. You might consider adding the cc by sa logo (from https://creativecommons.org/about/downloads/). I don't think there's anything on the page that can't be made available under that license, so I think it would be OK to leave out the "Except where otherwise noted..." The other thing to consider is whether we want a consistent footer across pages.

Actually, that should be a Tour link. It can just read "Tour" and should go directly to the left of the Desktop link. Can point here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/central/

I'd like to preview this before it goes live just to take one final look.

I think we want to keep the "Report Trademark Abuse" button and CC license message on the main page of our site. I thought you were asking about a sub-page. If I misunderstood your initial inquiry, let's talk.

Good question - we have a redirect in place. firefox/new/ is the landing page seen by people who aren't currently on Firfox 4.0 (they're on a older version or another browser). firefox/fx is the page people with Fx 4.0 and up see.

Liz, this is a sub-page (not a home page, sorry for not being clearer earlier) that only shows up for users who do not already have Firefox on their computers, so it can have a slightly different footer, we also need this page to render as quickly as possible, because A/B testing has shown that downloads increase when the page is lite and fast. So we want just the bare minimum as required.

If a user already has Firefox, she will land on this page: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/ - which has all the variables, including creative commons licensing.

James, once you've got it staged, can you update the bug, so John can approve?

James, back over to you - the way Blake runs tests doesn't involve him being able to take that code and check it back in somewhere, because it lives in sitespect's dashboard (to greatly simplify things).

Can you copy the existing landing page and implement the following changes to get us to this screenshot: https://intranet.mozilla.org/images/7/7c/Var.png (with a few tiny differences that are included in changes are:)

changes are:
1) #main-content div removed
2) #header div content removed, expect for the Mozilla tab: <a class="mozilla" href="http://www.mozilla.org/">mozilla</a>

It looks great to me - only thing that stands out is the "millions of" downloads instead of the actual counter. Will the real counter be in there when this goes live?
