Being a frequent wireless user with questionable connectivities, I'm very used to seeing "Cannot connect to server" on a wireless blip. However, this is still displayed until page paint even after the connection is established. If it could be done without a performance hit, graying the tab or showing some sort of indication that connection has been reestablished would be nice.
Using a notification bar would be the most appropriate place.
