654572 - Getting MU offered from 3.7a1 & 3.7a2 to 5.0b1 with broken billboard

Found on Vista, may apply to other OSes as well.

1) Install 3.7a1
2) Change .../defaults/pref/channel-prefs.js to set to betatest channel
3) Start 3.7a1
4) Help | Check for Updates

EXP: either no update, or update to 4.0.1
ACT: update to 5.0b1 offered

Per previous discussions on this, I didn't expect an MU offered to either 3.7a1 or 3.7a2.

Note also the dialog that offered 5.0 was broken, no info. See attached.

Happens with A2 as well when I spot checked Mac.

Right, so we published 3.7a1/a2 -> 5.0b1 in one of the many iterations of the snippets for 5.0b1, but they're not being updated because the billboard is the older small size (as you say).

If you're looking for reassurance that we're not going to update them after pushing to beta then I can offer this listing of directories for the production snippets:

I've restored the betatest and releasetest snippets for 3.7a1/a2 to the ones present before we started on 5.0b1. They point to 4.0.1 now.
