Details
The McCoy doc on MDN [1] does not mention that a signed update.rdf on
a non-SSL site _must_ provide a hash for the add-on package. Firefox will
refuse to install the update is such a hash key is not provided.
I recommend linking to or copying the "Update Hashes" section of the
"Extenion Versioning, Update and Compatibility" document [2].
I wanted to do the edits but MDN does not let edit that page...
