I received a response from matti@mversen.de - not sure what was changed - I've never had to report an error before. After downloading file, the "software update" box appears and shows "connecting to the update server"...... this box never shuts down, and then the next time I log on to my computer I get the same request to download Firefox 4.0.1
Please type about:config in the url bar and click the button to display the content. Type app.update.log and double click it so its value is true. Restart Firefox and open Tools -> Error Console. Click the Clear button. Open the Help -> About Window. The the error console should contain messages. Please copy / paste the entries in the error console that start with "AUS: " into into this bug report by selecting / right click it and select copy and then pasting the entry into the bug report. Thanks
Have you seen this problem in the past year when using a newer version?
