Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.17) Gecko/20110424 Lightning/1.0b2 Thunderbird/3.1.10 Each calendar is assigned a color, each event has a color to match its calendar, but tasks -- contrary to expectation -- have no color. As a new user, I found this puzzling. What was I doing wrong? Tasks should also be color coded. (Novell's Evolution does it right.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a calendar. 2. Create a task for that calendar 3. Create a second calendar 4. Create a task for that second calendar Actual Results: All the tasks look alike: Black text on a white background. Expected Results: Each task would have a background color, matching its calendar. I've called this an Enhancement, but I consider it close to a normal bug.

It depends on where you watch tasks. If you look at the list view the color is specified by the tasks status, e.g. red for overdue tasks. If you enable to view tasks the main calendar they will be shown with the calendar color like other events. Philipp Kewisch did create an extension to show that it can be done by color too, see https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/chromatasks/ Otherwise see Bug 297667.
Thank you. I admire the care shown by the developers in dealing with users' differing wishes and expectations. A lot to balance, and you're doing it well.
