From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.14-15mdk i686; en-US; m18) Gecko/20010112 BuildID: 2001011208 Sending mail to smtp.mail.yahoo.com fails. Actually it does nothing but create the temporary files and sets the status to sending. That's it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create new message 2.Send message 3. Actual Results: No. email was sent. Expected Results: Should have sent my email. This works find under Netscape 6. Looks like we broke something after that milestone.
Reporter try downloading a nightly build and creating a new profile and seeing if that fixes the problem.
After I recieved you comments. I took a peek at prefs.js, what a mess. I deleted every thing referring to pop, imap, and smtp servers. Restarted mozilla and reconfigured my accounts. That fixed the problem. So, the next question is how did the prefs.js file get hosed?
Who knows it happens from time to time, especially since each nightly is fixing new things. Marking WORKSFORME.
