The Mac installer needs to use the new Zip-archive CRC validation code and automatically attempt to refetch archives that have been corrupted. See windows installer behavior.

Bug 87793 covers this functionality now, and has patches. Guess this one wasn't found because it says "validate" but not explicitly CRC checking *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 87793 ***
