Current sorts available are search score, last modified, and name. We currently use last modified for the default page. This is...okay. This means tools that are most recently altered rise to the top of the list. However, what about most popular tools? They should be somehow prominent. While a full and robust popularity scoring mechanism may be more than we need, and ad hoc mechanism, based on e.g. link clicks could be used to shuffle things around a bit. Maybe a new view should be added of "most widely used tools". We could also score by thumbs-upping to allow some manual nudging.
