We added an fade in of the firstrun content along with the discovery stuff. Something recently regressed that makes this transition occur instantly. Wrapping the attribute removal in a setTimeout fixes it, but I'd like to know what regressed this.

This looks a little more awkward now without about:firstrun, http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/bfd819293f59, we show the top banner for Nightly Start only and then the 'Your tabs from last Time', 'Tabs from other computers', etc appears after.

Not sure how or when this was fixed, but there is indeed an opacity transition occurring now.
