Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.17) Gecko/20110414 Lightning/1.0b2 Thunderbird/3.1.10
In previous versions of Thunderbird detaching an attachement greyed out the attachment. Now it replaces the attachment with another 1kb file with a message but doesn't change the attached file icon in anyway. It is therefore possible to detach a file and then detach the Thunderbird message and write over the original file with the thunderbird message file.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Send yourself an email with an attachment
2 [review].Use detach or detach all to detach the message and save it to your desktop for example
3.Then repeat 2 and the file on your desktop with be a message file from Thunderbird sayin the you have already detached the file, give the original file name but no way of getting the original file back.
Actual Results:
lost original attachmenst
Expected Results:
it should not be possible to detach a file twice - a warning should come up to tell the user that the original file has been detached or go back to the previous version where a detached file was greyed out and could not be accessed

I can't reproduce this in 3.1.10 or trunk. I even forcibly enabled the "detach" option by patching Thunderbird (I'm working on that area now), and I still couldn't get this to happen.
