Build Identifier: Firefox/3.6.3

When I working with Firefox more than 10 hours with lot of tabs (usually I have more then 20) it starting to consume more and more memory, up to 2 GB. With every hour Firefox become slower. It looks like memory leak, because Firefox restart helps

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.. Open more than 20 tabs
2. Work actively more than 10 hours without restart
3. See, how slow it is and how many memory consumed

Actual Results:
Firefox works very slowly

Expected Results:
Firefox works fast as usual

Reproduced on different computers
Sigh. There's nothing that can be done with a bug report like this, without specific steps to reproduce etc ... How would you start to look for the error ? It's absolutely impossible.

I suggest that you upgrade to Firefox 4.0.1 - many bugs have been fixed in the mean time. There's are still memory leaks of course, you can find a current list in bug 640452.

As a user I'd would rather upgrade to the latest 3.6.X browser than to any 4.0.X. Many tabs and a few hours runtime did not work for me with 4.0.1, however 3.6.16 can run for several days in my setting. I am looking forward to FF5 however, some major fixes seem to go in there.
