There are intermittent canvas proxy errors in IE 8 (at least over HTTPS); see screencast: http://screencast.com/t/7uK8Zd09O STR: 1. Load http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=153855034679517&sk=app_153855034679517 using IE 8 2. Click "No" on the pop-up that asks you if you only wanted to load the secure content (not yet sure if this step is necessary) 3. Scroll up/down the page -- notice the layout and the error: Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0) Timestamp: Tue, 17 May 2011 17:23:35 UTC Message: Permission denied Line: 90 Char: 3 Code: 0 URI: http://static.ak.facebook.com/connect/canvas_proxy.php?version=1 (Looks like this error comes from Facebook itself -- is it an API our app is using?)
This is unresolvable on our end, there are definitely bugs about this filed with Facebook.. but not worth waiting on them as they take a long time to close.
