I think this might be an issue with the builder that did this reftest run, talos-r3-xp-025. We re-triggered 2 runs of the same job and they both had different builders & went green.

This looks a lot like something is wonky with mouse/hover/focus status on the test machine.

Comment 15, Comment 16, and Comment 17 are not this bug.  As noted in comment 3, this is about _hover state_ causing a difference. (or maybe a selection rect -- but in either case, it's a "halo" around the widget)

Comment 15 and Comment 16 look like actual legitimate test failures from mispositioned content. (2 of the buttons are in a different place, in testcase vs. reference)

Comment 17 is a weird single-pixel difference in the middle of a bunch of white space -- no idea what's going on there.

But none of those are actually this bug.  WORKSFORME was the correct resolution -- looks like this was a weird infra issue for one day ( 2011-05-19 ), or an issue that was resolved by a backout before the end of that day.  Please file new bugs for unrelated test-failures.

If, however, you compare comment 14, the one for which I reopened the bug, with the second and third failures in comment 1, you'll see that they are identical, and that we saw this failure again a year and a half after the initial outbreak, just a couple of months ago.

If you want to catch people's attention about that, you need to call it "a single pink pixel" or ideally "a single pink pixel of death" - bug 795215 -> bug 797245.
