Let's add the option to purge the image/video library every 24 hours and remove the images and videos that haven't been associated with an article for more than 48 hours.

Also relevant: bug 825547 Since the above comment was made on 2013-01-14, the announcement, "New feature: uploading images in the forums!" was made March 4, 2013 in https://support.mozilla.org/forums/contributors/709030 The decision was made in the related bug 694941 to use the image gallery for contributor forum images, though other options were considered. Is a way to automatically purge images that aren't being used in either contributor forum posts or KB articles being investigated? Hi Alice, thanks for bringing this up. Currently this seems like a low priority issue. Would be nice to have for sure.
