Cleanup CVS/ references with the makefiles. Remove/replace CVS/ with mercurial{.hg/} or deprecate the logic outright if no longer relevant. Some of the online build documentation also contains references to CVS and should also be cleaned up. Separate bugs will be filed.

Seems like this should probably live in Core: Build Config -- that's where general build system work is filed.
Yep, build system stuff lives in Core::Build Config, build automation stuff lives in mozilla.org::Release Engineering.

mozilla-central/client.py -- Is this script needed/relevant still ? It contains a do_hg_pull() function but 90% of the code is related to CVS: CVSROOT_MOZILLA = ':pserver:anonymous@cvs-mirror.mozilla.org:/cvsroot' CVSROOT_LIBFFI = ':pserver:anoncvs@sources.redhat.com:/cvs/libffi'
Yes, that's still needed. There are a few upstream projects (referenced in that script) that are still in CVS, like NSPR and libffi. That script exists to update our snapshots of those projects in mozilla-central.
