User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.17) Gecko/20110414 Thunderbird/3.1.10 When moving folders from Outlook Import to account folders Thunderbird does not propery move the contents. It either 1) moves the folders and not the messages 2) moves the folders and messages if one folder is moved at a time (does not have subfolders) 3) does not respond at all when moving draging folder to a new location 4) responds with 'folder already exists' when trying to delete folders. The folder must be re named before it can be deleted. 5) folders in the new destination must be created because moving folders from Outlook Import to the account does not respond. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Import folders from Outlook 2. Make sure the folders have subfolders with messages in the subfolders 3. Drag and drop the containing folder to the new location 4. Examine the destination folder and messages are not moved, or, the move does not respond 5> Try to delete the Outlook Import folder. Message is displayed 'folder already exist' Actual Results: 1. no response to drag and drop 2. Folders are moved without messages 3. Folders must be renamed before they can be deleted. 6. Messages must be dragged and drop to preexisting folders. Expected Results: drag and drop to move folders and messages properly
I checked this out further and the drag and drop will only move messages in sub-folders that have messages. If a sub-folder is empty it fails.
I haven't had this problem with Version 7
