Revisited pages on certain sites come up blank

1. Go to http://www.openoffice.org
2. click on link "Contributing"
3. Hit the Back button.
4. blank screen (hit reload or hit return in the location bar and then it comes up).
5. click on "Contributing" again
6. blank screen

This happens for most pages on that site.
Confirmed on 2001010816 on Mac OS 8.6. Setting Platfrom and OS to all. Setting
severity to minor.

I do not see the problem on winNT. I can go back to the page successfully.
I'm seeing variations of this problem on 2001020908, Linux Seamonkey.

If the cache compare setting is set to "every time I view the page", hitting the
back button will often bring up a blank page. If the compare setting is set to
"once per session", then I'll get a much older version of the page more often
than not. Reloading the page will bring up the current version (this is on a
forums site www.ezboard.com, so it's very noticeable), but following a link and
then going back again results in the older version of the page.
I can't reproduce this bug on WinNT with build 2001021206

Cache bugs to Gordon
There still seems to be some pretty funky behavior, even with the new cache.
Seems like it might be related to bug 74318.
This has been fixed by recent cache checkins or Darin's HTTP validation clean up.
Marking FIXED.
