When Firefox is unresponsive and an external application wants to open a tab in it I get a dialog which suggests that the process should be killed or computer restarted. While we understand it, most of our mothers will not.

It would be very helpful for them to provide a helpful dialog instead of informative one:

We are sorry, it seems that Firefox has stopped responding. Would you like to restart Firefox?
[Yes] [No]

And upon restart it would open with the link the user requested.

Reproducible: Always

This feature would be very convenient as the current implementation does not pass "Mother Check".

I do not know the possible security implications for providing such a functionality so it might be too much to hope for. It would be a killer feature, that is certain.
AFAIK - that dialog comes from the OS and an app has no control of it....
