User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20110511 Firefox/4.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20110511 Firefox/4.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.1 When I'm scrolling through a page with the mouse wheel, if I happen to let the cursor drift over the tab bar, or move it up there so as to not block my view of the page content, rolling the wheel switches the view to another tab. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a few tabs. 2.Open a long page. 3.Scroll with the mouse over the page. 4.Scroll with the mouse over the tab bar. Actual Results: The tab changes. Very annoying and jarring. Expected Results: The page scrolls. I would be mostly satisfied if the wheel simply didn't change the tabs. In a perfect world, I would like to be able to config the browser so that the wheel scrolls whatever has focus, rather than whatever it happens to be over. I could then choose what to scroll, then move the mouse out the way and happily scroll the thing.

Invalid. This is deliberate. See Bug 643294 [regression] Mousewheel scroll on tab bar should change tab This used to be how things worked. Then it stopped working for a while (and people complained), but I fixed it so tab scrolling works again. > > Now that bug 484968 is fixed, the scrollable tabbar eats the wheel events. > Yeah, one of these cases where one groups wins and one loses

If nobody else picks this up I might try to fix Bug 673878 (Option to disable mousewheel scroll on tab bar)
