Here's an interesting little behavior that's surprising and slightly undesirable. Filing mostly in case it points the way to anything more serious.

1. Open a couple of tabs with content long enough to scroll.
2. Using the two-finger trackpad gesture, give one of the tabs a scrolling "fling".
3. Before it has come to rest, close the tab with command-W.

The newly revealed tab will itself begin to scroll, receiving the remaining inertia from the closed tab.

You can also reproduce by switching tabs instead of closing the scrolled tab.
