Please remove the donation button from the Tumucumaque campaign page and update the copy as follows:
Tumucumaque Mountains National Park is home to majestic jungle cats like the jaguar. It's also the code name for Firefox 4. To celebrate this we supported WWF conservation efforts in the Amazon to keep places like Tumucumaque protected.
Mozilla's mission is to build a better Internet—a digital commons that is diverse and protected from harm. We believe that preserving an open web is essential to making the world a better place. We also believe that preserving natural and open spaces, like Tumucumaque Mountains National Park, is essential to making the world a better place. Open web, open space—these are the commons that enrich and sustain each and every one of us.
That's why we named Firefox 4 Tumucumaque and why we partnered with World Wildlife Fund to raise funds from our community to protect this magnificent rainforest park.
The Amazon is a region of superlatives. It spans the borders of eight countries and one overseas territory, is the world's largest river basin and the source of one-fifth of all free flowing fresh water on Earth. Its rain forests are the planet's largest and most luxuriant, and home to—amazingly—one in ten known species on Earth.
Tumucumaque is the world's largest tropical forest park and protects more than 9.5 million acres. While many of the forested areas of the Amazon are under threat from mining, deforestation, agriculture and illegal wildlife trade, Tumucumaque has become a sanctuary for iconic species like macaws, white-bellied caique parrots, harpy eagles, giant anteaters as well as the Amazonian cats: jaguars and pumas. It's one of our world's most important natural commons, where diversity flourishes and resilience abounds: just like the Mozilla community strives for every day when building a better web—our digital commons.
The Mozilla community helped raise almost $14,000 to protect the Brazilian Amazon, and to help the WWF harness open web technology to keep places like Tumucumaque protected and diverse.

FYI, I just checked WebTrends and there is still a Portuguese snippet driving traffic to the pt version of the page. Do we want to wait until that's over before shutting this down?
That also brings up that we should change copy on the pt version. We could handle localizing the text changes in this bug or another.

Ah, excellent to know. Do we know when the PT snippet is going down? I can leave the donation page live, but I would like to make this change to the en-us version of the campaign page if that's appropriate.
From what I recall the donation ask was omitted form the the JP version, correct?
Regardless, I'm fine opening a new bug or using this one. What ever is your preference in terms of tracking.

I don't know. Laura Forrest could tell us.

That's fine. I'll go ahead and change the English version.

Good question. I just checked and there is a donate button at the bottom.

Maybe easier to keep it all in this bug?

I can ping her to find out.

Let's do it then.
Do you still have the contact for the PT and JP localizers? I'm not sure who we'd contact at mozilla JP since Tomomi left.

Hey Fernando and Kohei,
We're turning off the donation functionality on the Tumucumaque campaign pages so we can send a check to the WWF for our donation. I've updated the copy in comment 1. When you have a moment, can you localize this content?
Thanks in advance for your hepl and let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Chelsea

Hey Chelsea,
Here goes (pt-BR) localized version:

Thank you so much Fernando and Kohei!
David, can we update the Japanese page now (or whenever you can) and then update the BR-PT page at the end of the month when the snippet comes down?
Thanks!
