You didn't give any information in this bug, but going off the dupes, you are having crashes? Please go to about:crashes and copy the id number(s) from the relevant crash(es). Past that number into the comment so we can get a stacktrace. https://developer.mozilla.org/En/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report may help if you have problems. Also, you said Firefox 4, but your UA is Firefox 3.6, so please update to Firefox 4, and give information on what exactly is crashing, how you make it crash, etc.

Reporter, do you have a description, some steps to reproduce, anything? thx
I really am very sorry, but I have no idea what caused the crashes, so there is nothing more than whatever is in the crash reports I can say to help you. It may, however, help you to know that I usually have many websites open at the same time. I haven't had a crash for awhile now, but I did go back to 3.X and I did allow Windows (virus) to do some update I had previously passed on, so maybe I've fixed it? Please don't hesitate to ask any additional questions or make suggestions. Thank you for all the time you put into Mozilla products.
go to about:crashes, give a stacktrace ID please.
What is a stacktrace ID and where would I find it? Which crash are you working on? Most of them are bad stacktraces, there is one, [@ hang | mozilla::plugins::PPluginModuleParent::CallPPluginInstanceConstructor(mozilla::plugins::PPluginInstanceParent*, nsCString const&, unsigned short const&, nsTArray<nsCString> const&, nsTArray<nsCString> const&, short*) ] the most recent. (All the others are either bad, or very old) Regina, you say you upgraded to Firefox 4.0.1, but your user agent still says 3.6.17. Please ensure you've updates, then create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles. Then, ensure you have updates your plugins such as flash, java, quicktime, etc. also update windows and your graphics driver. Then retest and give more information on when the crash occurs.
