deathduck:~/src/buildduty/buildbotcustom [23:53:35] 527$ date Mon Jun 6 14:47:25 PDT 2011 [asasaki@dm-wwwbuild01 clobberer]$ date Mon Jun 6 10:05:03 PDT 2011 We're behind, which is causing the clobberer timestamps to all be wrong. The buildslaves use this timestamp to decide if they need to clobber or not, so this can result in wasted developer hours. Could we reset the time and/or run ntpd ? I'm pretty sure I don't have sudo here due to the external-facing-ness of the box.

Nick thinks this is a VM, in which case we need VMWare Tools.

Any ETA? This affects developers day-to-day workflow. There is also a release about to come down the line and without clobberer I would have to go manually and clobber slaves.

I couldn't install VMWare tools on this host because it is listed as RHEL 4 and it is running RHEL 5. I will need to shut this down to change the settings and install vmware-tools. When is a good time to do that? It will be a quick reboot.

I'm not sure that the needs-treeclosure? flag will work for secret bugs, but let's give it a shot.

Why did this get hidden? Clobberer isn't an internal tool, so it's kind of annoying that external people can't track a blocker to it functioning properly.

Phong, can you remove the moco group?

There was an error with guest vm's that were upgrade to RHEL 5 from RHEL 4, and the the host is updated from ESX 3.5 to ESX 4.1. VMwaretools would not upgrade correctly in these cases. I found the work around and the vmware-tools is installed now. The VM should get its time updated from the host.
