I enabled the Gmail Friendly Email option (awesome!) but it doesn't work correctly if I file the bug.
Actual Results: Subject line is prefixed with "New: " on the initial bug mail
Expected Results: No "New: " - the same subject as the rest of the emails.

This feature doesn't exist upstream.

I think the problem is that it's off right now, it was breaking new-user notifications.

That would explain it. I haven't tested this further than filing a few bugs and seeing the subject line.

Please file a new bug if this is still a problem. You more than likely submitted your bug when the extension was disabled temporarily.

I apologize for losing this prematurely. The extension is still currently disabled so this is not really fixed yet. It will most likely be enabled on Monday PST when IT is able to get to it. I will close this then.

Sorry to reopen, but I'm still seeing this behavior. Bugs filed by others work as expected. Bugs filed by me are prepended with "New:"

thanks wil.
i'm unable to replicate this using identical input :(
the only thing i can think of is there were issues when the extension was re-enabled; some webheads were running with it enabled, while other were running with it disabled.
i'll chat with IT.

As you can see from the headers, both emails came from different hosts. glob explained that one of the web servers may have still been disabled and other other had the extension enabled. All web servers should be enabled now and you should not get the New: if you have your preference set. We could just close this and reopen if you see another one going forward (or open a new bug report which is preferable).

Ok. I may have spoken too soon as it may be that they are in fact not all enabled yet and IT is looking into it. Stay tuned.

ashish found the reason for it not working in sj, and has re-enabled the extension there.
