Hmm, I generated this key for use with github and assumed it would just work here as well.
>godot:~ jdm$ ssh hg.mozilla.org
>Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-with-mic).
The instructions at http://help.github.com/mac-set-up-git/ say to use -t rsa, while https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Using_SSH_to_connect_to_CVS says -t dsa - could that be my problem?

That isn't the problem, either type will work.
