My company uses SAP Netweaver extensively. Our portal users are not allowed to upgrade past Firefox 3.6.x since Firefox 4+ does not support WebDynpro. Some parts of our SAP portal work fine, but these tend to be the older elements of SAP. All of our best upgrades to our portal are built using WebDynpro. Can we please have WebDynpro support again?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Log in to a SAP portal
2.Go to any section of the SAP portal that uses WebDynpro (e.g., POWERlists)

Actual Results:
You will see an error message that says, "Sorry, your program/browser does not support WebDynpro!" That element / frame of the page will be blank except for this error message.

Expected Results:
Firefox continues to work. I can successfully log out of my portal. Unfortunately, I cannot get these WebDynpro portions of my portal to function. The only work-around we have found is to play with the UA string (reporting our Firefox version as 3.6.x) using the UAControl extension in Firefox. This allows the WebDynpro element to function almost perfectly. Unfortunately, even with this workaround, drop down menus in our portal still do not function properly. They never actually display the options in the drop down menu.

We have tested this in Firefox 4.0.0, 4.0.1, and 5.0 beta.
We have tested it on Win XP, Max OSX 10.6.7, and Win 7.
The webportal is provided by SAP they are the ones who are in charge of compatibility with browsers. If you can provide a section of code that reproduces the drop down menus not working we can evaluate if this is a Firefox problem.
