User-Agent: Build Identifier: I have disabled all three automatic checks for updates (FF, add-ons, search engines). app.update.enabled, browser.search.update and extensions.update.enabled are set to false. Additionally there is no update.locale in the installation. After the last start I read in the error (which is OK) console: Fehler: [Exception... "update.locale file doesn't exist in either the XCurProcD or GreD directories" nsresult: "0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND)" location: "JS frame :: file:///usr/local/firefox-3.5.19-x86_64/lib/firefox-3.5.19/components/nsUpdateService.js :: getLocale :: line 608" data: no] Quelldatei: file:///usr/local/firefox-3.5.19-x86_64/lib/firefox-3.5.19/components/nsUpdateService.js Zeile: 608 My questions is: Why is this function called in the first place? If update.locate were in place would FF perform an update? Reproducible: Didn't try

Stefan, Firefox 3.5 is no longer officially supported so I suggest moving to our latest stable release which is Firefox 5, which you can get from here - http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/ Thanks for the report!
