User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:7.0a1) Gecko/20110617 Firefox/7.0a1
Build Identifier: 20110617090750

I run my Fx7 window in a maximized window (not Full Screen mode!). I also set the size of the window to be smaller when in 'Restore Down' mode (aka unmaximized mode.)

For about a week or so I've noticed every now and then when I go from a maximized window to an unmaximixed window via the 'Restore Down' button or using Aero Snap the window size I set for unmaximized mode get's changed to a full screen unmaximized window.

The closest I've come to repro-ing it, albeit intermittently, is to start with a maximized window, click on the 'Restore Down' button and resize the window to a smaller size and then maximize the window. Exit Fx7 and do some other things besides running Fx. Usually 5 minutes or so. Run Fx7 which should bring up a maximized window. Now click on the 'Restore Down' button or use Aero Snap to unmaximize the window and instead of the size you set you will see a maximized unmaximized window.

No other application I've tried does what Fx7 does in this regard. It's as if Fx7 is losing the size I set.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Actual Results:
Window sizes changes from what the user set.

Expected Results:
Window sizes should remain constant (remembered) unless changed by the user.

This started happening about a week or so ago on Fx7 Trunk. It happens in safe mode as well as with a new profile. As it's intermittent you might have to play around awhile to see it happen.
Version: unspecified → Trunk
I can repro it everytime as follows:

1. Run Fx7 (possibly other versions also)
2. Maximize the window.
3. Unmaximize window and resize to a smaller window.
4. Maximize the window again.
5. Exit Fx7.
6. Run Fx7. Window should be maximized. Click on the 'Restore Down' button to unmaximize the window. Window will be unmaximized but it takes up the whole screen, not what you set it for in step #3.

The latest hourly might have fixed my problem. Will test some more.
Rebooted Windows 7 and the problem appeared again.

In my STR, after you do step #5 run some different programs before you continue to step #6.
I cannot repo using latest hourly build:

cset: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/dbd02a315176
Version 7.0a1

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:7.0a1) Gecko/20110623 Firefox/7.0a1
Aero-snap on here - no problems, still cannot repo...
I turned off Aero Snap (and Aero Peek) and had no problems using the 'Restore Down' button. My window stayed at the size I set it to. After testing this further I re-enabled AS and in short order my window re-sized to a 'full' screen.

Jim.... I'm running W7 SP1 x64.
