I got into this state the other day with about 100 tabs open, and each and every one of them required about 90 seconds to close (timed from when I hit Cmd-W until the actual closure happened). I've attached three representative samples.

BTW, this was using a recent 2.1 nightly.

I haven't hit this in a while, although I've since gotten a lot better about making sure JS is turned off when I'm not explicitly using it, and I've also since uninstalled Flash.
Unless someone sees something obvious in the samples, it's probably safe to close this INCOMPLETE.
