All email clients I know, including Thunderbird, seem to be stuck in the previous century. Why not redesign them and make something useful?

Ideas:
  - Replace the concept of folders with the concept of tags. Every email can have one or many many more tags. Tags are all inside a tag hierarchy or graph and this represents the new folders (they could also be realized with virtual folders) that can be expanded and at each level show every email that matches the given tags (in current perception this would mean that every parent folder would list the contents of all subfolders).
  - Sent mail folder is only a tag! All outgoing mail just automatically gets the sent tag, there is nothing special about this emails to store them in a separate folder.
  - Creating simple filters for automatic tagging of emails should be seamless as possible.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Thunderbird.
2. Realize it still doesn't support tagging in the right way.
