http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=10937087#p10937087
=== http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.2/#download -> http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/2.2 -> Page Not Found ===

The problem is that 2.2b1 (and all future betas, which are actually now what were the release candidates before) just identify themselves as "SeaMonkey/2.2" without "b1", thus look up the release notes for "2.2" (final) and consequently try to find the download page for the final version. That's the fun with the new rapid-release system... http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/2.2b1
Well, before betas it was RCs that caused the problem, so not much lost here... Checking in src/releases/2.2.en.html; /www/seamonkeyproject-org/src/releases/2.2.en.html,v <-- 2.2.en.html initial revision: 1.1 done For posterity, this is the main part that I added for the new page (should work for any future beta): <div class="important"> <strong class="shout">SeaMonkey [% prettyversion %] has not been released yet.</strong> <br>Please help test the current beta version, <a href="[% betaversion %]">[% betaname %]</a>. <br>For daily use, we strongly advise you to download the <a href="./">current stable release</a> instead. </div>
