When you click on a particular point in an unexpanded grouped by sort list of messages, it adds a star to all the messages in that list.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Sort Messages by date
2.Group by sort
3.Click on the red circle as I drew on the picture http://i.imgur.com/qZLGl.png
4.Adds stars to all messages on that group

Actual Results:  
It adds stars to all messages

Expected Results:  
It shouldn't. The arrow to expand the group is very close there and it's easy to miss.

Yes, it is closed in error. The problem still exists (thunderbird 13.0).
There is an inconsistent behaviour here: 
1. If a group is opened, clicking on the start column has no effect.
2. If a group is closed, and the emails are not starred, all of them get starred. (usually, not the intended behaviour, as we usually are targeting the arrow, but we click the star column mistakenly). 
3. If a group is closed, and the emails are starred (for example, when I did number 2, and I want to revert the changes), it has no effect.

The behaviour must be consistent. Either, it should always have no effect if you click on the star column in the row which contains the group's title, or it should always toggle the star of all messages in the group.

I still get this error on version 13. Same issue. 

I have done a fresh install on a different machine from the one I originally posted the error and the error still continues.
