User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.100 Safari/534.30 Build Identifier: 5.0b7 Firefox.exe is not being installed. After installation, the file is not present in program files/Mozilla Firefox. All the shortcuts point there, and it does not exist. I have tried multiple installations of Firefox, deleting and removing all old versions and files and rebooting. Additionally, the install.log does not show that firefox.exe was ever installed in the directory, though it was placed in the registry Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Download Firefox 2.Install Firefox 3.Try and run (icons and shortcuts point to nowhere) Actual Results: There is no firefox.exe Expected Results: Firefox.exe should exist in application directory and Firefox should run

Please provide the url you used to download. Also, open your temp directory (Start -> Run, type %tmp%, and press return). Delete all of the temp files that can be deleted. Start the installer without going any further than the first page and check inside the newly created directories inside the temp directory for firefox.exe (it will be inside a directory that starts with 7z inside a subdirectory named core). After this is done close the installer and report back if you found it or not. Thanks

That is for Firefox 5 Beta 7 and the full url is http://pv-mirror01.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org//firefox/releases/5.0b7/win32/en-US/ I downloaded that installer, verified that it has the firefox.exe, and ran the installer to verify that it installed firefox.exe. Not sure what is going on here (perhaps there is anti-virus software on your system that removes firefox.exe?) and highly suspect that this is only affecting your system or there would have been a ton of reports when we released Firefox 5 beta 7 as well as Firefox 5 so reducing severity. Try downloading the Firefox 5 installer from http://firefox.com/ to see if it works.
Would also be informative if you could check if there is a digital signature on the installer which can typically be checked in the file's properties.
