In forums, when I post a new thread, Mozilla remembers my last used nickname/password & thread entry (topic). That's not a problem, but it is a problem, that Mozilla will add every new thread I make to the nickname/password entry box. In Mozilla > Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Passwords. This happens all the time when I don't use Javascript. If I use Javascript on those forums, Mozilla will just fill in my name/password and leave the topic box open, plus it won't add yet another entry of my nick/pw to the password list. Turn JS off, and I do have these problems. Option would be to load forums with JS on, but then the load is very slowly, especially on my V90 modem. Forums that I post a lot on are http://forums.matroxusers.com
what buildid?
How do I find the Javascript build ID? All I can find is: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; m18) Gecko/20010117
i meant the build id on top of mozilla. i do see this though, i have duplicate passwords stored. --> password manager, can not find a dupe on a quick look

Mozilla build on top 2001011704. I am downloading the last nightly build with talkback, and check if that version has the same problem.
I downloaded the latest version with talkback, installed it. It is Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; m18) Gecko/20010126 I tested it with and without Javascript on the aforementioned forums, and it's now adding the nickname and password to the list, whether JS is on or off. I posted a screenshot on http://home.planet.nl/~elst0093/pw.jpg

Could you please give a step-by-step set of instructions for reproducing this problem. Preferably a set of steps that don't result in actual posts being made.
Closing this out as invalid since I have not received any response to my question above. Please reopen if you can give me a set of steps for reproducing.
