The metrics team wants to use the Snippets service as a method to collect simple question/answer data from the millions of visitors of about:home. More info can be found on the wiki page: https://intranet.mozilla.org/Metrics/Customer_Satisfaction
Another requirement: Keep a given user from seeing the same question over and over with the use of localStorage.
blake/cjung: We will move forward with this project after we have completed the HTML5 Snippet project. We have collected enough information to be able to move forward with development.
Okay thanks a lot for following up Chris!
Let us know when the HTML5 Snippet project wraps up or if you need anything from us before then.
Just curious: what's the status on this?

Now that HTML5 stuff has subsided, it would be great to start this project if the Metrics team has the time and it's a priority. Q2 project, perhaps?
Ben Sternthal: This may be another good one to jump on for Q2 since you are doing other snippets work. This was also put on hold and we can restart it after a check in with the stakeholders.
Do we have any interest in pursuing this during the summer? If so, perhaps a stakeholder meeting should be scheduled.
Our priorities have shifted toward mobile for the next few quarters and this project is on still on hold. Our priorities are Boot-to-Gecko, Fennec, and Firefox Desktop. This project in theory could support all areas, but the main driver is for more aggressive campaigns around product launches.
Thanks for checking.
Is there still interest in this? I'd imagine not, given the age of the bug, but I've been wrong before. :D
Looks like the answer to Comment 9 is a No, or at least a No with the way this was previously proposed.
